Ice Breaking Event for 2013 Intake

‏السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

An ice-breaking event was held in the Chancellor's Building for the new batch of Bruneian students. There were several events that were organised by the Committee including games, introduction of all the members in the society and also food were provided after all the other events concluded.

The event began with a speech from the President, welcoming those who were present at the time. Members of the society were then divided into several groups and were asked to participate in fun-filled activities such as pop-quiz, frisbee throwing, treasure hunt and also chinese whispers.

We would like to thank all the people who attended the event and were willing to participate in the games which made the event lively and exciting.

Lastly we would like to say WELCOME TO BRUKEELE SOCIETY to the new members =)

BruKeele BruManch Khatam Al-Qur'an 2013

‏السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

"Jangan pisahkan diri dari Al-Qur'an bawalah ia walau ke mana, seperti ketika bermusafir, untuk menjadi teman di masa sunyi dan bersendirian. Sesungguhnya orang yang membaca Al-Qur'an itu adalah seperti saja dia berkata-kata dengan Allah, kerana bukankah Al-Qur'an itu Kalamullah?"

BruKeele and BruManch Society have successfully organised Majlis Khatam Al-Qur'an on the 16th February 2013, which was hosted by the BruManch Society at the Manchester Central Mosque, M14 5RU. This event was joined by 3 more Brunei students societies which are BruMingham, BruLancaster and BruLiverpool. The total participants of this event is 88 people, majority from BruKeele (36) and BruManch (35).

BruKeele Society would like to congratulate to those who participates on the Khatam Al-Qur'an, those who volunteered in making the event a success and In Sha Allah, similar event will be organised in the future.

Fresher's Ice-breaking event

Feeling homesick already? Need some Bruneian companion? COME! Get to know others as well!

1. Since it's our first month here in Keele, this will be a POTLUCK event. You are welcome to bring or cook whatever your heart desires. Just let us know what you're planning to bring to the event.

2. There will be GAMES during the event and PRESENTS will be given to those who won.

3. Dress code: CASUAL

4. Place: TBC

Assalamu'alaikum.

As some of you have been informed, results are out for first year and second year. Congratulations to those who have passed the exams!! :D To those who didn't do well, don't lose hope, Allah knows the best for you, insya-Allah. Other than that, we would like to remind everyone who is under the MoE scholarship or any scholarship, please fill in the ASF2-2012 (http://www.upp.org.uk/Unit%20Penuntut-Penuntut/home/forms/ASF2-2012.pdf) a.s.a.p. Please note that you NEED to get your G.P. Address if you haven't done so. Kalau lambat, allowance pun lambat masuk and you don't want that to happen. That's all for now. Have a great holiday!

BruKeele Solat Hajat+Tahlil and Photoshoot

Assalamu'alaikum.

BruKeele recently held solat hajat for the upcoming exams as well as tahlil. Here are some photos of the solat hajat+tahlil event that was led by BruKeele's religious secretary, 'Izzuddin. On the side note, there was also solat hajat for the third years at the end of April led by the BruKeele's president.

BruKeele also held a photoshoot session with the BruKeele society at Keele Hall. Even though not many attended the event due to busy with revisions and reports due, we would like to thank for those who came and made the photoshoot session a successful one; we also manage to get more of group photos in different locations.
