Brukeele Eid Adha Celebration

Assalamualaikum!

On the 4^th October 2014, 10 Zulhijjah 1435 Islamic Calendar the Brukeele had held an event to celebrate the Eid Adha.  The event started off in the Barnes Islamic centre for the Isya’ Jemaah prayer, led by the current religious officer Firas Ibrahim, and continued on to the Takbir Hari Raya.

The events then moved on to the Barnes Social Space where members enjoyed some foods and mingled with each other as this would be the first Brukeele society event for the new academic year. The current president of the society, Cedric Loo, gave a mini speech to welcome current and new students and to promise for a formal welcoming in the near future.

Many thanks for the members who were able to come last night and for those who weren’t able, we hope to see you in the near future. Eid Mubarak! 

Brukeele 2014 Photoshoot

Assalamualaikum.

The committee decided that it was time for another photo shoot to showcase the current Brukeele members and also leave memories to those who are graduating this year. We decided to take the pictures yet again at the scenic Keele Hall, scheduling the photo shoot was a hassle due to the unpredictable English weather but that Thursday afternoon proved to be the right time !.

There are some members who unfortunately are unable to attend this event due to conflicting schedule or they were not present in Keele at that time, nonetheless it was a great day filled with smiles and laughter as all of the members that came dressed well to impress.

We would also like to thank Anas Nawawi on behalf of the committee for capturing and providing us these moments. Your help is much appreciated Anas :)

The Current Brukeele Committee

and their antics

BruKeele BBQ 2014

Assalamualaikum :)

On the 4th of April 2014, the new BruKeele Committee organised a small BBQ as a get together event for all the Bruneian students currently studying in Keele. The event began at 2pm onwards at the Barnes Social Space BBQ area outside.

We served 2 types of chicken, one BBQ chicken marinate and a tandoori chicken marinate. They were both really delicious. Other items served for the BruKeele members were sausages, crabsticks, burgers, mashed potatoes, pasta and some fruits.

Members of the BruKeele society also brought their own leisure equipments to play with everyone and had all sorts of fun playing frisbee and football.

It was a very eventful and successful event for both committee members and BruKeele members. Everyone had an enjoyable time. It is never a dull moment when you have a bunch of Bruneian people around you :)

On behalf of the BruKeele Committee, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that came to the BBQ. We enjoyed everyones company on this day, and without you, the day wouldn't have been as prosperous and entertaining.

And lastly, we hope that YOU had as much fun as we did.
